Project 100
The power of transformation lies not only in change but in consistent and purposeful commitment. For me, this commitment takes the form of "Project 100," a challenge I've designed to push my physical, mental, and professional boundaries. If you're familiar with "75 Hard," you'll recognize Project 100 as my personal extension of this challenge.
At the time of writing this blog, my journey began nine days ago. As you read this, we are on day 11. I've roped in a friend who's walking this path with me on the physical front. The impacts and benefits are already substantial, thanks to the early dedication to the routines I've set in place.
Physical Transformation: Pushing Boundaries
The physical aspects of Project 100 involve a series of disciplined activities aimed at optimizing my health and well-being:
Cold Plunge (5 minutes): A brisk five-minute plunge in either the river, lake or ice bath is how I begin each morning and one hell of way to jumpstart the day. I actually crave it now!
Yoga/Stretch (15 minutes): Focused stretching and yoga sessions for fifteen minutes daily aid in flexibility, balance, and inner calm. I can already feel a difference!
Workout or Cardio (30 minutes): Thirty minutes of either a strength workout or cardio to provide that adrenaline rush and maintain peak fitness levels.
Sauna (15 minutes): A relaxing fifteen-minute sauna session at day's end aids in unwinding and detoxification. Definitely my reward at the end of every day!
These activities not only strengthen my physicality but also prepare me mentally for the day ahead.
Nutrition: The Fuel for Transformation
To complement the physical exertions, a specific diet is an integral part of the challenge:
Macros (3,400 daily calories): My intake includes 220 grams of protein (equivalent to 2.2 lbs of meat), 175 grams of fat and 220 grams of carbohydrates sourced from fruits and honey.
Self-Improvement: Nourishing the Mind and Soul
The transformative journey also includes a focus on mental and emotional growth:
Read 10+ Pages Daily: Reading at least ten pages daily broadens knowledge, nurtures curiosity, and encourages continuous learning.
Write 250+ Words Daily: Penning down thoughts and reflections every day instills discipline and offers an avenue for self-expression.
Career Development: Building MontanaMattProperties
The professional component of Project 100 is about turning aspirations into action:
Expand Database: Consistently expanding the database of properties and potential clients.
Follow-Up: Regular and persistent follow-ups to foster relationships and potential deals.
Update Website: Maintain an updated and informative website for MontanaMattProperties.
Social Media Presence: Active content creation and engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. YouTube will be new to me.
Visual Storytelling: Create compelling visual content showcasing landscapes, properties, fitness, and the beauty of Montana.
Overcoming Insecurities: Consistency trumps insecurities. Building confidence to appear on camera consistently.
Networking: Connecting with five new people for five days a week to expand the professional network. This can be online or face to face.
Field Work: Undertaking at least one Matt of All Trades job daily to gather data on potential client properties.
Project 100 isn’t just a challenge; it's a transformational journey. This is a blueprint for pushing limits, nurturing growth, and forging ahead in both personal and professional spheres. The commitment to self-improvement and career development is not just about completing a challenge; it’s about the evolution and transformation I seek within myself.
