Faith’s Birth Story.

Faith Wilde,

You came into this world on December 3, 2024, at exactly 12:07 PM. Measuring 21 inches long and weighing a healthy 8.7 pounds, you were everything we had hoped for and more. From the moment we laid eyes on you, Faith Wilde Weger, our hearts were overwhelmed with love.

Your journey into the world was nothing short of amazing. Your mom, the fierce and beautiful warrior she is, absolutely crushed the labor process. We arrived at Logan Health hospital a little after 7 AM, nervous and excited for what was to come. By 8:45 AM, the induction process began, and things unfolded quick. By lunchtime, when it was time to meet you, your mom gave just one contraction and 4 or 5 strong, determined pushes - and then, there you were. It was textbook. Your mom is a boss lady.

One of the most special parts of the day was that your mom and I didn’t know whether you were a boy or a girl until the moment I held you in my hands. Dr. Winterton delivered you and then handed you to me, and I had the incredible honor of announcing to your mom, “It’s a girl!”

That is a moment I will never forget. I was convinced for months that you were a boy - whether it was hope or just a feeling, I was so sure. Your mom and I even had a boy’s name all picked out. But a girl’s name? We were at a loss. Nothing felt quite right.

But when you arrived, and we looked at you for the first time, everything became clear. Your name was meant to be Faith. The faith that brought your mom and I back together after life’s twists and turns. The faith we leaned on when times got tough, knowing we’d always weather the storms, side by side. Faith is what defines us, and now, it defines you too.

Your middle name, Wilde, is for the untamed spirit your mom and I hope you carry with you. Our story is full of adventure, love, and perseverance, and we can’t wait to share it all with you and your big sister, Charlee, as you both grow.

Faith Wilde Weger, your name is more than just words. It’s who you are and who you will become. You are strong, beautiful, and smart - in that order. You will be the strength others lean on when they need it most. Your beauty, inside and out, will light up every room you enter, a gift from your mama. And your curiosity and drive to learn will make you endlessly smart, giving you the tools to live a life of passion and purpose.

Be wild. Live boldly. Treat others with compassion, and don’t be afraid to stand tall and stay true to yourself. Have faith in the journey and trust that everything will work out in the end, because it always does.

Your mom and I are your biggest fans, your strongest advocates, and your loudest cheerleaders. Always and forever. Don’t ever forget how deeply loved you are.

Welcome to this crazy world, Faith Wilde. Let’s make it an adventure.

Love, Dad
